The bathroom is one of the most used rooms of your home. You want it to look clean all the time but don’t have time to spend hours cleaning it.

Have you ever had that panicked feeling knowing guests will arrive any moment and your bathroom isn’t exactly company ready?

Don’t worry, we have all been there. We have some helpful tips to get your bathroom sparkling clean in less than 20 minutes!

What you need:

  • Paper towel
  • Vinegar
  • Spray bottle
  1. Set out a Trash Bag

To start, pull the trash into the middle of the bathroom so you have easy access to it. If you don’t have a bathroom trash can just hang a plastic bag on the doorknob.

  1. Sanitize the Toliet

Clean the toilet first to avoid the spreading of germs. To do this, pour a cup of bleach into the bowl, and brush around the sides and under the rim. Then, all it to sit while you move on to the next task.

  1. Wipe Everything Down

Take a spray bottle and fill it with equal parts white vinegar and water. Spray the solution onto a clean cloth or paper towel, then wipe down the sink, faucet, mirrors, and countertops. Be sure to wipe away any stick spots from tooth paste or hair products. If you want to go the extra mile, wipe down spot shower doors as well.

  1. Wipe the Toilet Down

Damp a paper towel with your vinegar cleaning solution and wipe dust from the back of your toilet tank, then over, under and all around the seat. Now, you can flush the bleach solution that has been soaking in the bowl. Through the paper towels in the trash and move onto to the next task.

  1. Wash Towels

Through dirty bath towels and hand towels in the wash frequently to prevent a musty smell in your bathroom. If you have guests arriving, simple throw the towels in the wash and set out fresh hand towels.

  1. Clean the Floors

Start by shaking out rugs and bath mats to fluff them up to they look inviting. To go the extra mile give them a quick vacuuming. Then, take a damp paper towel and wipe the corners of your bathroom, where dust and hair will often collect.

7. Freshen the Air

Open the windows and all fresh air into your bathroom if possible. Set out a candle in a safe area if you have one. Or make your own air freshener.

There are tons of way to freshen the smell of your bathroom naturally.

Make your own lemon scent. Simply, dissolve baking soda in warm water and add some fresh lemon juice. You can use this to clean surfaces in your bathroom.

You can also add fresh lemon juice to the vinegar water solution to give your bathroom a fresh and clean smell.

Finally put the trash can back where it belongs or throw the plastic bag out.
